Unlike most of her older colleagues, the playmaker is about to step out at her fourth Final Round, having represented Serbia and Montenegro back in 2005. She also played at a FIBA World Championship for Women more than a decade ago and has bags of experience from a career spent playing at the highest level, both internationally and at club level. Leading the way in assists in France two years ago and also last summer during qualifying, her influence is not waning and that is because she is an expert at pulling the strings and lets the ball do much of the work. Skilled at dictating the tempo of games and with a reasonable perimeter game which always makes opponents have to respect her defensively, Skerovic is the leader in the backcourt. She comes off the back of a season in the highly competitive Turkish League and showed she still has the legs to play almost 30 minutes per game with Osmaniye.
