Erazem Lorbek missed last year's FIBA World Championship campaign to take a rare summer off. Now though, he returns to the National Team looking to repeat his efforts at EuroBasket 2009 in Poland when his performances earned him a place in the All-Tournament team at the power forward slot. He is a big man who has a range of quick and effective post moves, can shoot the fadeaway jumper confidently and has an excellent understanding of ways to get the job done in the paint. In addition to his strong interior game, Lorbek can also play around the perimeter and he has range. He has an underrated jump-shot that opponents have to respect, otherwise he can punish you. Lorbek will no doubt be utilized for his agile play in the post and cleaning up on the defensive end, as the near 7-footer is a good rebounder. Coach Maljkovic is expected to start Lorbek as one of his most influential players, and seeing Erazem back playing in the green and white of Slovenia after his sabbatical will make the Slovenian fans grin from ear-to-ear.
