It was an historical season for Semen Antonov and his Nizhny Novgorod team-mates. Together with the club, Antonov made his Euroleague debut and surprised the whole continent by reaching the Top 16 of the tournament. The team captain also helped Nizhny Novogorod to reach the VTB League semis and featured in all 62 games the team played across all competitions. Needless to say, Antonov was one of the key figures for his team. Antonov also became acquainted with a new position for him - small forward. The process of adjusting wasn't easy and he had to sacrifice some of his offensive productivity. But as the season progressed, Antonov grew into his new role and it can now be helpful for the Russian national team.
