Ante MASIC - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Cedevita Zagreb (Croatia-A1)
Career: HKK Brotnjo Citluk (Bosnia & Herzegovina-D1, 2002-03); HKK Posusje (Bosnia & Herzegovina-D1, 2003-04); Zrinjski Mostar (Bosnia & Herzegovina-D1, 2004-07); Zlatorog Lasko (Slovenia-SKL, 2007-09); KK Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2009-12); Cibona Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2012); Cedevita Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2013)

The forward had his national team debut last summer and immediately jumped into a main role. Masic started in all 10 games for coach Petrovic in the Qualification Round, averaging 7.8 points, and shooting over 55% beyond the three-point arc. He especially made the difference in two crucial games against Georgia, going five-for-seven and five-for-eight respectively from downtown. Once a go-to guy on his teams, with athleticism and high-flying scoring traits, Masic transformed his game a few years ago after arriving to KK Zagreb, where he became a role player, reliable on both ends of the floor and not merely a spot-up shooter. In the process, Masic lost some consistency, and his numbers dropped, however, some of his instincts were left intact, as Masic still presents a great threat on the fast break, and can sink shots behind the three-point line, which he proved last summer.
