Omri Casspi is coming off a strong finish to his NBA season and hopes to propel Israel national-team to new heights. Casspi, a long wingman with an excellent frame and a warrior's mentality, is an all-around do-it-all superstar for the Israeli national-team. Casspi, elected as the national captain, was the number one scorer for Israel and third overall in the Second Qualification Round, posting 19 points alongside 7.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals per contest. He was named All-European Honourable Mention in 2014 by Eurobasket.com. Casspi has the complete package of skills from getting into the paint, to a crafty low-post repertoire, and a deadly stroke from the perimeter. Casspi - who penned a $6 million deal with the Sacramento Kings - recorded an NBA career-high 41.2 shooting percentage from distance and dropped double-digit scoring figures in each of his final eight NBA games, including a career-best 31 points in 35 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Casspi's jump-shot is even more impressive in Europe, where the stripe is closer, as he netted a whopping 50% in the Second Qualification Round. Look for Casspi to lead Israel into the latter stages of the competition.
