Zaza Pachulia may well feel like he has unfinished business at EuroBasket. The 31-year-old has been his national team's talisman and driving force for many years, but is yet to truly discover how far he can lead Georgia in Europe's top competition. In 2011, having helped secure his country's first-ever EuroBasket appearance and steered them through the First Round, the NBA veteran was forced to sit out the Second Round and watch his team lose all three games. Two years later, Pachulia, along with team-mate Tornike Shengelia, missed out on EuroBasket 2013 altogether due to show-stopping injuries. But, after averaging 17.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game during last summer's EuroBasket 2015 2nd Qualification Round, the center will get a shot at improving on 2011's 11th-place finish. It could barely come at a better time too, with Pachulia coming off one of the best seasons in his 12-year NBA career, having helped NBA Eastern Conference surprise package Milwaukee Bucks return to the play-offs by contributing 8.3 points, 6.8 boards and 2.4 assists per game.
