Wisla Can-Pack Krakow beat Pécs 2010 for their fourth consecutive victory in the EuroLeague Women on Thursday night.
With 67-57 triumph, the Polish club moved into second place in Group A at 5-2 ahead of Good Angels Kosice (4-3).
Having scraped a two-point win in the first encounter in Poland, Wisla were ready for a fight in Hungary and that's what Pécs gave them for the entire game.
In the end, Zeljko Djokic's team was unable to contain the towering presence of Wisla center Ewelina Kobryn.
She had 26 points, five rebounds and three blocks.
Janell Burse also had 13 points and nine rebounds for the winners.
Pécs (2-5) got a three-ball from Alexandria Quigley at the end of the first half to trail just 36-30.
Kobryn caught a pass from Andja Jelavic and scored down low to begin the second half for Wisla, who went in front by 14 in the third quarter and led by 16 with 3:16 remaining in the fourth.
Djokic's troops did the club proud by not giving in, though, and cut the gap to 63-55 with 1:23 left in the contest.
Sara Krnjic poured in four of the points in the 8-0 run.
Erin Phillips stopped the rot by making the second of two free-throws for Wisla to make it a nine-point game.
Following a Pécs timeout, captain Dalma Ivanyi launched a shot from the arc and missed and Pécs fouled Jelavic.
She missed both free-throws, but Burse grabbed the offensive rebound.
Burse then split a pair to take the lead back to 10.
Jela Vidacic hit two free-throws for Pécs before a Burse lay-up clinched a 10-point success for Wisla.
A young Pécs side is running out of time to get into the top four, which is needed to reach the play-offs.
They have games remaining against USO Mondeville (3-4), Good Angels Kosice and pools leaders Cras Basket Taranto, who were 5-1 entering Thursday's game against a 1-5 TTT Riga side.
Wisla's last three games are against Cras, TTT Riga and Kosice.
Zejlko Dokic, Head Coach Pecs 2010:
"First of all I would like to congratulate the Krakow team. Tonight Krakow scored many points in the last seconds of attack time against our very strong defence. They had a very good player who has got good sense of playing. Her name is Kobryn.
On other side we did not have such good shooting percentage but our young team is improving day by day. This was also usefull game for our development."
Zsófia Fegyverneky, Pecs 2010:
"We are sorry for this game. The Krakow was lucky which we missed in our game. But we have no reason to be sad becasue Krakow is a very good team."
Jose Hernandez, Head Coach Wisla Can-Pack:
