Another emerging guard looking for increased responsibility from Coach Blazek, Bartakova played a handful of minutes at the London Olympics and preceding Qualifying Tournament last summer as she pulled on a senior vest for the first time. She is primarily a point guard who can shoot threes, although she didn't manage to find the consistency she will have hoped for last season - her first with VS Prague - after having previously only played for Hradec Kralove. An efficient player who has plenty of solid fundamentals both offensively and defensively, the acid test for Bartakova is likely to be her three-point shooting as well as her playmaking ability. If she can develop into a combo guard for the national team it will give her greater opportunities to shine. She saved her best performances during recent times for last season's EuroCup Women where she played really well and so expectations will be high. She is most effective when she plays naturally and finds rhythm quickly. |
