I am still pinching myself after watching another excellent EuroLeague Women Final Four. Last year in Vidnoje it was great.

This year in Brno, it was even better.

Phard Napoli upset TTT Riga 68-65 on Wednesday to knock the Latvian club out of the EuroLeague Women.

Riga went into the contest fourth in Group A, but with the same 3-6 record as fifth-placed ESB Lille Metropole.

French club Lille upset Fenerbahce 60-59, meaning Riga had to win their game in Italy but Phard Napoli ruined their night and European season.

In the first half, TTT Riga had a 25-12 lead but they weren't able to build on the advantage.

Instead, Napoli, with Kedra Holland-Corn doing much of the damage on offense, charged back and tied the game at 37-37 four minutes into the second half.

Corn had nine of her game-high 22 points by that stage.

The Italian club then went in front, and with 3:30 left, led 64-54.

Riga, remarkably, appeared to save their season by reeling off 11 straight points to take a 65-64 lead with Micaela Martins Jacintho's three-ball capping the run 1:19 from the end.

Turkey international Yasemin Horasan sank a couple of free throws to put Phard Napoli back on top at 66-65, yet four missed shots from the charity stripe by the hosts in the last 35 seconds left the door open for Riga to pull level again.

However, Ticha Penicheiro's three-ball was off target at the end as Phard Napoli won for just the second time in the EuroLeague this season.
