I am still pinching myself after watching another excellent EuroLeague Women Final Four. Last year in Vidnoje it was great.

This year in Brno, it was even better.

Phard Napoli will not have Yasemin Horasan when they try to keep their slim hopes of progressing in the EuroLeague Women alive on Wednesday at ESB Lille Metropole.

The Turkey international has averaged 9.7 points and 4.7 rebounds for Phard this season but she will miss the game in France with an ankle injury.

Nino Molino, the Phard Napoli coach, is trying to steer the club into the next round for the first time in club history.

And getting to the next stage would be an incredible high for players like 1.89m power forward Sara Giauro.

"I've been here at Napoli for the past four years," Giauro said. "This squad is like my family and I want to do my best for the team.

"I know I have to give my best and I will do that against Lille.

"We're going to Lille to claim two points. We strongly believe we can win and we want to keep the chances we have to qualify (for the next stage) alive until the end, even though we know that it might not be sufficient if we win our remaining two games."

Phard have won just one of their eight EuroLeague Women games.

Italy's other representatives in the competition, Germano Zama Faenza, are also still in contention for a place in the next round with two wins from eight games.

Faenza must win their last two games against MiZo Pecs and USO Mondeville to advance, however.

Against Pecs, they will take on two of their former players in Brazilian center Graziane de Jesus Coelho and Croatia center Emilija Podrug.

Faenza have recovered Marija Eric from injury, and she should play.
