I am still pinching myself after watching another excellent EuroLeague Women Final Four. Last year in Vidnoje it was great.

This year in Brno, it was even better.

France international Celine Dumerc led the way as Bourges continued their good recent form to claim a much-needed Group 71-60 win over ZVVZ USK Prague in EuroLeague Women.

Guard Dumerc (19 points and five rebounds) was the stellar performer for the hosts, who only really pulled clear in the third quarter before doing what they had to to keep their noses in front.

They go to a 3-4 record, while ZVVZ - for whom American center Janell Burse (16 points and 12 rebounds) excelled - stay rooted at the foot of the pool on 2-5.

Bourges went 13-4 up midway through the first quarter thanks to a Sonja Kireta jumper.

But ZVVZ recovered and the contest remained too close to call all the way to half-time, at which time the hosts led 35-33.

With 4:25 remaining in the third, there was still nothing to separate the teams (43-42).

But the French side then went on a 10-0 run, which included a Dumerc jump shot followed by a three-point play, to establish what ultimately proved to be a game-winning cushion.

Bourges, who thrashed arch-rivals US Valenciennes Olympic in France's Ligue Feminine at the weekend, began the final 10 minutes 53-46 up and were never threatened from there on.
