Croatia and Romania Through To Final

Romania and Croatia will play in the final of the UMCOR U18 European Championship Women Division B in Timisoara, Romania Sunday.

The host team got a battle from Latvia in the semifinal, trailing 39-24 at the half before outscoring their opponents 30-13 in the third quarter to go into the final period leading by two.

U18 Women Division B Semi-finals Set

The semi-finals are set at the UMCOR U18 European Championship Women Division B in Timisoara, Romania.

The hosts will take on Latvia after dismantling Luxembourg, Israel and Ireland in the qualifying round.

U18 Women Division B Qualifying Round Set

With five days worth of games in the books at the UMCOR U18 European Championship Women Division B the qualifying groups have been set.

Ireland, Croatia, Israel, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Slovenia and host Romania all advanced to the qualifying round where they will begin play Wednesday.

Scotland Play On

Scotland’s Junior Women progressed to the classification round of the UMCOR U18 European Championship Women Division B yesterday after finishing 4th in their group.

On Monday Scotland lost to top qualifiers Greece 65-40.

Big Youth Win For Ireland

Ireland overcame first-half struggles on Tuesday at the U18 European Championship Women, Division B in Timisoara, Romania to record a victory over Portugal and secure top spot in Group A.

The Irish took a 5-0 lead out of the gate but were off their game for the rest of the half trailing by ten at the break and as many as 14 early in the third quarter.

Scotland Enjoy Historic Win

Scotland’s Junior Women scored an historic first win in European Division B competition on Saturday with a 43-41 victory over Austria.

Experiencing their first taste of competition at Euro B level, the Scottish Women went into the UMCOR U18 European Championship Women Division B tournament not knowing how the team would handle the step up in intensity.

Ireland And Belgium Score Important Wins

Ireland moved to the top of Group A at the UMCOR U18 European Championship Women B Division with an impressive 15 point win over Israel on Sunday.

The girls from the emerald isle dominated the boards, out-rebounding their opponents by 14 on their way to victory.

Estonia Stay Perfect

Estonia moved to 2-0 in Group C play Friday night at the UMCOR U18 European Championship Women B Division being played in Timisoara, Romania.

The Estonians scored a convincing 62-34 victory over England, holding their opponents to just 21% shooting for the game.
