Ivkovicné-Béres Signs For Brno

Gambrinus Sika Brno have made their first signing for next season with the addition of Hungary international Timea Ivkovic-Beres to their roster.

The 30-year-old center joins the Czech champions from Mizo Pecs.  Brno team manager Jiri Hamza said: "Beres has enough experience from the Euroleague Women. She was one of the best players for Pecs.

Hejkova Reflects On Another Title Win

The champagne has dried on the Spartak Moscow Region basketball court after Sunday's 90-76 win over Ros Casares in the EuroLeague Women championship game.

And with a couple of days to savour the triumph, Spartak coach Natalia Hejkova isn't too proud to admit she had some anxious moments at the Final Four.

Bourges Confirm Melain, Dumerc Extensions

Bourges Basket have confirmed key duo Cathy Melain and Celine Dumerc have signed fresh deals with the club.

Melain, the former France forward, will stay at the club for the next two seasons, while current Les Bleues guard Dumerc has penned another one-year contract.

Spartak Moscow Region collected the second major European silverware of their history on their homecourt, defeating Ros Casares Valencia in the EuroLeague Women Final Four.

Playing in front of a packed house of 4,000 home supporters, the 2006 EuroCup Women champions did not disappoint on their way to a 76-62 win.

Ros Casares left it very late to book their place in the EuroLeague Women Final Four, but they finally achieved the feat with a quarter-final triumph over Fenerbahce.

DeLisha Milton-Jones, who helped Gambrinus Sika Brno capture the 2006 title, had to grab an offensive rebound and score on the put-back at the final buzzer of the Game Three decider against Fener just to force overtime.
