Greece may not have made it past the group stages but coach Giorgos Tsitskaris and his team have at least exited the competition on a winning note.

Anastasia Kostaki, the 1.72metre guard, poured in 22 points, grabbed six rebounds, had four
assists and four steals as the Greeks beat a disappointing Hungary, 85-83.

Laszlo Ratgeber´s team looked as if they might cruise when jumping out to a 25-16 advantage
at the end of the first quarter but Kostaki and Greece fought back to win the classification
game and finish in ninth place in the tournament.

Hungary, who were led by Andrea Karolyi´s 21 points, must now go in search of some new ideas ahead of next year´s qualification for the 2005 European Championships to be staged in Turkey.

Greece, however, are hosts for Athens Olympics and will be taking on the best sides in the world.
