|Willie Warren provided 12 points in Szolnoki Olaj's win|
Szolnoki Olaj proved much too strong for Cholet Basket as they cruised to an 85-70 road win in Group J of the EuroChallenge.
Peter Lorant and Justin Holiday poured in 20 points each as Szolnoki led from start to finish, making 32-of-57 (56.1%) of their shots from the field.
New signing Anthony Goods scored 21 for Cholet on his debut but it was not enough to keep them in contention.
Szolnoki scored the first nine points of the game unanswered and were 24-10 up when Holiday sank a three-pointer with 2:25 to go in the first period.
Cholet briefly threatened to get back into it with an 11-2 run before half-time, closing the gap to 42-36 when Steeve Ho You Fat made a lay-up with 29 seconds left.
But as Holiday continued his bombardment from three-point range Szolnoki soon began to ease away once more in the second half, and a jump-shot from Holiday made it 64-45 with 1:57 left in the third period.
The lead reached its peak when Willie Warren's free throws made it 83-62 with 76 seconds left.
Warren finished with 12 points and David Vojvoda added 10 for Szolnoki, while Ho You Fat finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Cholet.
Szolnoki Olaj Player Balazs Simon
"First of all, we played an excellent game, from the beginning to the end. It was a pleasure because we played hard, we played collective and so we deserve the victory. I am very satisfied."
Szolnoki Olaj Head Coach Dragan Aleksic
"We stayed very concentrated during the game. We kept the same rhythm and we were very good. We made 21 assists, it was a collective game. Congratulations to my team."
Cholet Basket Head Coach Laurent Buffard
"We played three games in five days. We are very tired. Our pillars are exhausted. We let them shoot and we were not present on defence. Now we have to integrate our two new players and practice with Anthony Goods, and make our new leader integrated."
Cholet Basket Player Anthony Goods
"We did not play a good game on defence and they shot the ball very well. We were behind during all the game and never caught up. I think we could have started the game better but we had our chance during the game to come back."
