Giants Head Coach Paul Vervaeck
"It was a tough game and Tartu Rock is a good team. In the first quarter they made 23 points and our game wasn't working. We changed our defence and we fought ourselves back into the game. It was a team effort from Tartu, but [Augustas] Peciukevicius created a lot for them and if we let them have 18 assists then we know they can score. We lost the away game by eight points, but I'm not disappointed. The result still gives a chance and it is important to win the home games and then one away game."
Giants Player Ryan Pearson
"I tried to give my team spark off the bench, give guys energy and get us going. We have to pay more attention to the details in defence and not let their guards get to the paint. We didn't do that in this game and it killed us."
Tartu Rock Head Coach Gert Kullamae
"We started out well, but lost the rhythm a bit in the second quarter and they had a lot of baskets from transition offence. But we managed to get it under control. All the guys that we scouted before the game we could defend, but as we had little information about Ryan Pearson he became the dark horse of the game and gave us a lot of trouble. Today we also had too many little defensive mistakes that we need to look over in future games, but today fortunately these didn't lose the game for us. Our three home games are our three steps to the top eight and we made one today."
Tartu Rock Player Timo Eichfuss
"Today their key player was a bit like me - he went mostly to his left hand. At first it gave us a lot of trouble, but we adjusted our defence and it worked. It's a good thing we didn't break when they got closer in the end and it is an important win in front of home crowd for us."
