Novo Mesto led 46-31 when Jaszberenyi went on a final surge, 13-2 to cut the deficit to 48-43. But KRKA led 59-48 after three quarters.
A 6-0 start to the fourth quarter made it 65-48. Jaszberenyi would hit three straight three-pointers to get to within 12 points with four minutes left but no closer.
The result now means that Krka will go head-to-head with Tofas on the final Regular Season Game Day to decide who will advance to the Last 16 alongside Ural Ekaterinburg.
Fortress Jaszberenyi Player Brane Savic
"I would like to congratulate Krka for their deserved win. They have a stronger team with more quality. We are in a small crisis in the past few weeks but we tried to give our best. We managed to stay close in some periods of the game but Krka is too much of an experienced team. Anyway we're proud that we could play on this international level."
Krka Player Jaka Klobucar
"Basketball is such a game that you have to play 100% if you want to win. We managed to do that and we didn't underestimate our opponents. We deserved to win although we also had some black moments."
Fortress Jaszberenyi Head Coach Sandor Foeldi
"We had a lot of problems with injuries and we only had seven fit players. We want to show ourselves in a good light and I'm sure we did that. It was very nice. I was looking forward to this game because I'm also from ex Yugoslavia and I have a lot of very nice memories on my basketball colleagues from Slovenia. I wish for Krka to beat Tofas and to get to the Last 16."
Krka Head Coach Aleksandar Dzikic
"We had to win this game and we did it. Now our victory is even more important because Ural won in Turkey and we only have to win against Tofas in our arena. It will be a tough game but we have to get into the Last 16."
