|Tina Charles led the way for Moscow with a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double|
Reigning champions Dynamo Moscow are in a strong position to advance to the last four of EuroCup Women after taking a valuable 72-64 win at Adana Botas in the first leg of the quarter-finals.
The holders will be confident of finishing the job in the return game on home soil next week, although they won't be complacent after having to come from behind in the first meeting.
Whilst they ultimately grabbed a precious eight-point cushion for the second leg, it was Botas who were eight points ahead in the first half of the contest in Adana.
Sandra Igueravide made it 29-21 for the hosts to get the home fans into good voice, but a powerful response from Dynamo resulted in them outscoring Botas 35-15 either side of the interval to jump into the box-seat.
Just when it looked like the visiting side might streak away to put one foot in the semi-finals, Botas dug deep and responded with a run of their own which culminated in a pair of free-throws from Michelle Snow cutting the gap to a paltry three points at 60-57.
Snow then scored inside the last minute to keep the arrears at still only five points, but a basket by Tina Charles and a free throw by Ana Dabovic extended the lead for Dynamo to take home.
Charles garnered 14 points, the same number of boards and four assists in victory, with Snow pulling down 13 rebounds and sharing 40 points with team-mate Bahar Ozturk for Botas.
