Quotes Nante Reze vs. PEAC Pecs

06 November 2013

Pecs head coach Zeljko Djokic
"First I want to congratulate Nantes for this victory. They played a high level basketball, with great transistion game, they fought like lions. We tried to survive but we started really bad and I think we let a lot of energy trying to come back. At the end of the game, our rotation hurt our game. We have a unique team without a real center and with a lot of young players. Those players don't have a lot of experience in this kind of game. We saw that in the fourth quarter. We lost the battle for rebounds and we shot really bad for three pointers. Marielle Amant and Caroline Aubert played really well and their experience made the difference. I think his kind of game will serve us in the futur ... begining with namur next week."

Nantes head coach Emmanuel Coeuret
"It's a relief to win tonight. We had a really bad start in the LFB and tonight we really wanted to win. When Pecs took 11 points ahead I was worried. Then Sarah Michel started to play very well, then Caroline Aubert. Marielle Amant was good from the begining and when every player plays at her level we are a dangerous team. Tonight I found back the team I coached last year. It's been a while that I didn't see so much energy and heart in our game. I saw transition, assists, points, rebounds. It is just on game but for us it's worth all the gold in the world. Latoya Williams is a very good player. Pecs is a geat team wich is difficult to play. I think our group is very very high level."

Nantes Rezé capitain Caroline Auber
"It is the first time this year that we come back from a big gap in scoring. I think the output of the US players helped us to come back in the game. We put some heart in our game and we find back some confidence. This win is very important for us. Pecs is a very good team for a first round. Villeneuve will be harder but if we put the same energy, I'm confident for the future."
