|Milos Popovic stood out fot Montenegro, producing a 34 point 12 rebound double-double|
Montenegro rallied in the fourth quarter to push Sweden into last place at the U16 European Championship with a 78-72 win.
With both teams already relegated to Division B, only seeding was on the line in their final contest but there was no shortage of fight on show as the momentum shifted in the final quarter.
Sweden had led most of the game, enjoying their biggest advantage when Craig Lecesne put them up 42-30 midway through the second quarter, and their lead was 69-62 when Lecesne nailed a three-pointer with 4:59 left in the game.
But that was the cue for a big run from Montenegro, starting when Todor Radonjic hit back with a three before Milos Popovic split a pair of free throws to put them 72-69 ahead with 1:47 remaining.
Samuel Berkelund's three tied it back up but Montenegro scored the final six points of the game as Sweden's shooting went cold at the crucial moment.
Popovic poured in 34 points while grabbing 12 rebounds for Montenegro, while Ognjen Carapic scored 17 and Radonjic 12.
Berkelund led Sweden with 15 points while Lecesne added 13.
