The Slovak Republic used their long-range accuracy to ease to a 69-55 win over Lithuania in classification action at the U16 European Championship Women.
Four three-pointers in the first quarter set the tone, with Miroslava Mistinova (twice), Lucia Striesova and Veronika Remenarova all connecting from distance as the Slovakian team took a 26-13 lead.
Lithuania clamped down in the second period, restricting the Slovak Republic to just eight points, with Rasa Knyzaite's lay-up reducing the lead to seven.
But Striesova hit two more three-pointers in the third quarter to re-establish her team's advantage, and the Slovakian defense held firm in the final period.
Mistinova led all scorers with 22 points and added 11 rebounds, ably supported by Denisa Blanarova who added 12 rebounds while Striesova finished with 15 points.
Laura Juskaite top-scored for Lithuania with 14 points and had nine rebounds also.
