Lithuania produced a stunning display on Thursday to storm past Georgia 107-49 at the Sportland U20 European Championship and secure either a first or second-place finish in Group A.
The Baltic side clinched their third consecutive win in the tournament and only Greece could knock them off the top spot on the group table, while Georgia remain bottom of the standings with two losses in as many games.
The Lithuanians came out guns blazing and established a double-digit lead already after five minutes of play, extending it to 33-12 at the end of the first quarter.
The green and yellow side dominated all facets of the encounter and with their bench players also firing on all cylinders, they led 63-30 at half-time and the gap kept widening the rest of the way.
Lithuania continued in their pursuit of offering highlight plays to their travelling fans in the stands and the point differential reached the 50-point mark, 91-40, with 2:30 still left in the third quarter.
Five players scored in double digits for the winners with Martynas Paliukenas collecting a game-high 20 points, while Otar Pkhakadze finished with 15 points for Georgia.
