Sweden topped Germany 74-65 in their last game of Group D at the U20 European Championship Women.
With this victory, Sweden carry a win into the Second Round, while Germans carry no wins across into Group F where they will face France, Italy and Russia.
Sweden was in front for the most part in the first half, but the teams went into the break tied at 31. In the third quarter, Alice Nyström and Elin Gustavsson combined to score all points in a 10-2 run that put the Swedes up for good. The advantage reached 57-42 at the end of the third quarter, and Sweden never looked back.
In a turnover-plagued game, Sweden had a 42-31 rebounding advantage and hit seven triples compared to Germany's three to trace their path to victory.
Gustavsson led in the win with 18 points, Josefin Vesterberg scored 14, while Alice Nyström had 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Laura Hebecker netted 19 for Germany.
