|Sabína Oroszová led Slovak Republic with 21 points|
In their final Group B game on Saturday the Slovak Republic led from start to finish and downed Poland 60-52, claiming a place in the Second Round of the U20 European Championship Women.
This loss for Poland relegates them from the main draw and leaves them fighting for survival in Division A.
Slovakia opened the game with an 11-2 lead, and never relinquished it, controlling the game throughout the 40 minutes. Even though the advantage never exceeded 10 points, Slovakia did not allow their opponents to come closer than four at any stage of the game.
The key to the game was the defence that kept Poland well below 30% shooting from the floor, whilst the Slovak Republic used good ball movement and their 15 assists to create more open shots and sink 6-of-13 three-pointers.
Sabína Oroszová led in victory with 21 points; Barbora Bálintová had 12; while Zofia Hruscáková grabbed 12 rebounds along with her eight points.
Karolina Puss scored 12 points in defeat.
