Jawad Williams was instrumental in Paris Levallois' win, scoring 23 points.

Paris Levallois raced away in the final quarter to hand Szolnoki Olaj their first defeat in Group J of the EuroChallenge Last 16, 93-71.

Akos Horvath's three-pointer made it 48-37 early in the third period, but that proved to be Szolnoki's high-water mark as Paris rallied, drawing level at 55 when John Cox's jump-shot capped an 8-0 spurt.

Maleye Ndoye soon followed it with a three-pointer, and Paris kept piling it on to lead 64-59 at the end of the period.

The run continued in the fourth quarter, becoming a 24-4 charge when Sean May completed a three-point play from the line with 8:53 to go.

COACH QUOTES

Quotes Paris Levallois vs. Szolnoki Olaj

Paris head coach Christophe Denis
"What matters to me tonight is not so much the win as the way we played the game. We needed to have a good game tonight, to play right. What changed between the first half and the second half is our defense. We stopped running after the ball which is what failed us in the first half and we started controling the tempo of the game more."

Paris guard Andrew Albicy
"In the second half we pressured the ball more in defense. It's what was missing in the first half and in the past few games. I had to lead by example in this area of the game because it is my job within the team. It is what I am known for. I am glad that we did that right tonight, at least in the second half."

Szolnoki Olaj head coach Nedeljko Asceric
"In the first half we made all our open shots, we had extra passes, the ball was travelling very well. In the second half, things were different. Paris stepped up in defense and in offense. We didn't make our shots like in the first half. I can't say that we were tired, it's just the way it goes sometimes in the game."

Szolnoki player Rashad Bell
"All I can say is that we missed shots we should have made in the second half. We didn't control the ball the way we did in the first half. They stepped up and we slowed down!"
