Robert Vaden led Telekom Baskets with 21 points as all players scored against overwhelmed Armia |
Telekom Baskets Bonn put on an offensive clinic as they topped Armia 102-77 to book their place in last 16 of the EuroChallenge with victory in their final Group H game.
Robert Vaden poured in 21 points to lead four Bonn players scoring in double figures as they shot 40-of-70 (57.1%) from the field, including 13-of-24 (54.2%) from three-point range to reach triple figures for the first time in the Regular Season.
The teams had been locked together for most of the first quarter, but a 6-0 burst gave Bonn a 30-22 edge on Kyle Weems' three-point play and then a run of eight unanswered points had them 40-28 up when Chris Ensminger made a lay-up with 4:16 left in the half.
Benas Veikalas nailed a three-pointer to end the first half, making it 53-38, and the gap soon moved past 20 as they continued to pile on the pressure early in the third period.
Jared Jordan hit a three and Patrick Ewing Jr followed it with a dunk to make it 63-42 and after Weems scored the final two baskets of the period, Bonn's win was looking secure with a 78-53 advantage.
David McCray gave them their biggest lead, 92-65, with a driving lay-up with 5:19 left and Weems hit a three-pointer 65 seconds from time to move them into triple figures with a 101-77 advantage.
Weems finished with 16 points for Bonn, while McCray added 14 and Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann had 12.
Lasha Parghalava had 20 points for Armia while Lamayn Wilson added 13 and Giorgi Sharabidze had 11.
The win lifts Bonn to 4-2 while Armia finish Group H play winless.
