Dolphins center James Hughes
"We came in the game wanting to advance to the Last 16. Our defense started to work in the third quarter and although we didn't get the win tonight we still reached our goal and advanced to the second round."
Pyrintö guard Antero Lehto
"We got our momentum in the second quarter. We had a bunch of fast breaks, our defense was great and we were aggressive. From time to time the third quarter has been difficult for us and this is exactly what happened today as the Dolphins went to zone and our game became too passive."
Dolphins head coach Paul Burke
"They dominated the first half. Their match-up zone was really frustrating us and I think the only reason we were in the game in the first half is because we shot the ball very well. We came from the half time and started defending better and I think defensively we shut them down in the third quarter. We made good shots and executed our offense very well, but Pyrintö didn't go away. They came right back in the fourth quarter and played very good basketball. It came down to the final moments and Anton Saks came up with a really big rebound which pretty much took us to the Last 16."
Pyrintö head coach Ville Tuominen
"The third quarter was once again pretty tough for us. I think we defended the first 20 minutes extremely well, but in the third our intensity dropped and we became too passive. In the final moments we were up by 8 and we missed a good 3-point shot, which would have given us a needed 11 point lead. Next thing that happens is we fail to get the rebound after they missed both free throws on the other end. So even though we won the game it's frustrating because a place in the Last 16 was so close for us. "
