Crocker scored the hosts' first eight points and had 10 as Keravnos led 16-11. Tica's three-ball started a 10-0 run as Ploiesti led 21-16. And the Romanians were still ahead 25-23 after one quarter.

COACH QUOTES

Quotes Keravnos Strovolou vs. CSU Asesoft Ploiesti

Keravnos head coach Panayiotis Yiannaras:
"Overall a very good and tough game. This was especially true in the first three quarters. Ploiesti managed to out-rebound us for most of the game but once we found solutions to this and improved our defence we were able to build a lead and win the match. Congratulations to Ploiesti and I wish them good luck in the future and in their domestic league."

Keravnos player Antonio Crocker:
"Tough game against a very good team but it was important for us to win at home. They managed to control the rebounds early on but once we improved our defence and passing we made them do mistakes and won the game. Congratulations to my team for a solid performance, and our objective is to improve all the time."

Ploiesti head coach Vladimir Arnautovic:
"Congratulations to Keravnos on the victory. It was a good game. We were better for three quarters but when your opponents score 26 points in the last quarter then that is just too much. We were ok with the rebounds and the zone we played which caused Keravnos a lot of trouble. However, we couldn't find solutions against Maze and Crocker and we made some serious mistakes in the last quarter which are unacceptable at this level and that is the reason we lost the game."

Ploiesti player Vladimir Tica:
"We played good for the first three quarters but Keravnos improved their game, forced us to do mistakes and won the game. We surprised them early on but in the second half Keravnos improved and our mistakes cost us the game. We try to win every game and improve but tonight was not our night. We will keep on trying."
