|Tina Charles once more led the scoring for Wisla Can-Pack|
Tarsus Belediye came tantalisingly close to securing a stunning road win in Krakow but were left heartbroken after being pipped 74-73 by Wisla Can-Pack who were again inspired by the irrepressible Tina Charles.
The center posted her now customary stellar double-double, as she poured in 27 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to propel Wisla to a third straight win in EuroLeague Women Group A.
Head coach Jose Hernandez and his team will be mightily relieved to have survived a potential dagger from Danielle Robinson right at the death, which would have handed Tarsus successive victories, having only posted a historic first success last week.
The visitors will be disappointed to have allowed a glorious opportunity of a famous win to slip through their fingers, since they led 43-35 at the interval after a strong end to the second quarter.
And, when they returned to the court after the break, Delisha Milton-Jones extended their advantage to 50-37, which had Wisla very much on the ropes.
The hosts needed a response before the game slipped away, and they got it with a quick-fire 20-7 burst of scoring, levelling matters with a three-pointer by Anke De Mondt.
There was little between the teams in an edgy final period until Wisla went 74-69 ahead with just under two minutes to play.
However, they weren't to score again, and almost blew things but Tarsus, and specifically Robinson, couldn't quite punish them.
Shay Doron had 22 points for the visitors whilst Melisa Can had a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds.
