Szolnoki Olaj turned the tables on Elan Chalon and beat the French side in the EuroChallenge Last 16 on Tuesday night.
Hammered by Chalon in their first encounter back on January 10, the Hungarians prevailed this time, 90-81, to leave both sides with 2-2 records in Group J.
The contest was tight early in the fourth quarter, with a dunk by Chalon's Michel Jean-Baptiste-Adolphe leaving the hosts clinging to a 65-63 lead.
Brandon Gay gave Szolnoki some breathing room by answering with a three-pointer and sparking an 8-0 run to put the home side on top, 73-63.
The advantage grew to 78-67 after Gay hit another shot from long range with 4:24 to go, taking his haul to 16 points.
After Malcolm made just one of two free-throws for Chalon, Obie Trotter nailed a three-pointer for an 81-68 lead.
Chalon chipped away at the deficit but got no closer than six the remainder of the game.
Gay and Trotter each scored 18 points for Szolnoki while Blake Schilb's 20 points for Chalon led all scorers.
The hosts were 11 of 25 from long range and Chalon five of 18.
