|Lithuania's Edgaras Ulanovas had every reason to celebrate on Monday following an almost faultless perfomance|
Lithuania showed their true potential after a poor performance in the First Round by dominating previously undefeated Group C winners Spain, 82-60, in the first game of the Second Round.
The Baltic side broke away in the second quarter thanks to an intensice effort on defense.
Spain's half-court offense struggled and Lithuania, who also managed to limit the Spanish team to only seven points in transition, slowly started establishing their command on proceedings.
Edgaras Ulanovas went 4-of-4 from the three-point line and had a game-high 28 points and Egidijus Mockevicius scored 20 points and grabbed seven boards for the winners.
Lithuania also registered 17 assists, while Spain only had seven in the entire game.
Jaime Fernandez collected 15 points for Spain, but the whole team made only three three-pointers throughout the game, finishing with an 18.8 percent accuracy from beyond the arc.
The victory allowed Lithuania to improve to 1-2 and strengthen their position in the fight for a quarter-final spot, while Spain carried over two victories from the First Round and now stand at 2-1.
