EUROCHALLENGE QUALIFYING ROUND
Atomerömü SE completed a comprehensive victory over Arkadia Traiskirchen on Tuesday night by winning the second leg of their EuroChallenge Qualifying Round tie in Austria.
Having rolled to a 70-48 win in the opener last week in Hungary, Peter Völgyi's squad clinched an 85-80 triumph on the road for a 27-point success on aggregate.
Atomerömü SE were never in any danger of frittering away the huge advantage they gained in the first leg.
They led by as many as 14 in the game and coasted to a second consecutive win.
There were five Atomerömü players to reach double figures in scoring.
Young Hungarians David Vojvoda (21 years old) and Ferdinánd Morgen (20) had 13 points apiece for the winners.
The visitors did much of their damage at the free-throw line, sinking 24 of 31 compared to 12 of 15 for the home side.
Another youngster for the winning team, 23-year-old point guard Ákos Kovács, had a team-high four steals to go with his 11 points.
The 19-year-old Montenegrin Radosav Spasojevic had a game-high 21 points for Arkadia Traiskirchen.
Also for the hosts, Tiras Wade chipped in 19 points and point guard Benedikt Danek had 10 assists to go with his eight points and game-high five steals.
