|Konstantin Nesterov and Spartak Primorye stunned Russian leageu rivals Enisey Krasnoyarsk in the first leg|
Spartak-Primorye honored Tuesday's 12-year anniversary of the founding of the club with a 75-58 demolition of BC Enisey in the Far East of Russia.
In the first leg of the EuroChallenge Qualifying Round tie, Spartak-Primorye stretched a 17-16 lead at the end of the first quarter to 50-25 by half-time.
BC Enisey managed to claw the deficit back to 58-49 early in the fourth quarter, only to then go cold from the field.
Spartak Primorye took advantage and went back in front by 22, with the visitors ultimately losing by 17.
Torey Thomas finished with 15 points and Konstantin Nesterov 12 for the winners.
Evgeny Baburin, Cuthbert Victor and Jeleel Akindele each weighed in with nine points.
For Enisey, 32-year-old center Lonny Baxter scored a game-high 20 points.
The hosts were eight of 17 (47.1%) from long range and 29 of 57 (50.9%) overall, while Enisey were just three of 14 (21.4%) from behind the arc and 20 of 50 (40%) in all.
To make it into the EuroChallenge with an aggregate triumph, Enisey have a mountain to climb.
They host next week's second leg in Krasnoyarsk.
