|Obie Trotter and Szolnoki Olaj took care of business in Pau to keep their campaign alive|
Obie Trotter had 16 points and the Hungarian outfit hit 21 of their 31 shots inside the arc en route to a 75-67 victory.
Szolnoki Olaj led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter and had a comfortable advantage throughout the fourth as they improved to 2-2 in Group H.
They are competing with Keravnos (also 2-2 in Group H) for the second qualifying spot for the Last 16.
Artland (4-0) have already punched their ticket for the next round after Tuesday's win over Keravnos.
For Pau Orthez, the proud French team is 0-4 with no chance of progressing.
They got 20 points from Teddy Gipson.
Szolnoki player Akos Horvath:
"To get a victory on the road in a European competition is always a big challenge. Tonight both teams suffered from missing important players. We did a good job with a good repartition of the scoring and a good spirit of solidarity. We are still alive in the competition."
Szolnoki head coach Peter Por:
"We had a good reaction tonight to win against Pau. My players did enough to keep control of the game. It is an important victory which gives us hope for the rest of the EuroChallenge."
Pau-Lacq-Orthez player Tanguy Ramassamy:
"It is hard to loose a game at home in front of our fans but we suffered in terms of intensity with the absence of Marko Maravic and Junior Elonu. I tried to follow the strategy of the game but as soon as Teddy Gispon is not on the court, we feel lost. We have to work hard to take responsability and recover as soon as posible the feeling of a win."
Pau-Lacq-Orthez head coach Laurent Vila:
" We tried tonight to get the maximum of control on the rythm, to make Szolnoki work on half court.
We did it by sequences but we missed rotations to play 40 minutes with intensity. The situation is complicated but we hope Junior and Marko come back as soon as posible."
