Olin Edirne head coach Gökhan Tastimur: "We would like to congratulate Aalstar to the victory. We are a young and unexperienced team. Last season we were very successful and with Edirne being a smaller town, most of the players went to stronger teams. As for now we are concentrating on the Turkish League." Edirne player Wes Wilkinson: "We were struggling tonight. When we were down, we didn't find the mental spirit to come back in the game. Aalstar played a very good first half and could take control of the rest of the game. We have to stay positive and are looking forward for the next game in Russia." Aalstar head coach Brad Dean: "I heard that Moscow won in Cyprus which is very good for us for competing for the second spot. After three lost games, one in EuroChallenge and two in the Belgian competition, my team reacted well. They play concentrated and everyone took responsability on offense and on defense. I hope we stay consistent for the next game in Cyprus." Aalstar player Nate Fox: "We were dominating the paint and took control of the boards. On fastbreak we could score a lot of points. Edirne is playing very physical and we are not used to play an opponent like that. But I know the history of our team in the EuroChallenge. It's the first win in 10 European games, so we have to be proud of this victory." |
