BC Telenet Oostende put the finishing touches on a comprehensive triumph over Norrköping Dolphins in the Eurocup Qualifying Round on Wednesday evening.
After romping to an 88-62 first-leg triumph in Sweden, the Belgian club returned home and recorded a 70-67 victory.
Chris Booker had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Oostende, with Dusan Sakota the only other player to hit double digits in scoring with 11.
For the Dolphins, Oladapo Ayuba finished with a game-high 18 points and 10 boards and Povilas Sakinis weighed in with 17 points.
The visitors never threatened to overhaul the massive deficit they faced following the first leg.
They did manage to go in front for the first five minutes of the fourth quarter with their biggest lead 57-51.
But Oostende went back in front by the end for a comprehensive victory over the two legs.
They will play in the Eurocup while Norrköping will be in the EuroChallenge for the second straight year.
Norrköping Dolphins Head Coach Paul Burke:
"Today our team showed better what we are capable of. Ostend has a better team and are way ahead of us. Good coaching, lot of weapons and using those weapons well. Teams in Eurocup should not underestimate them. They can go far. We gave a better image of ourselves than in the first game. They shocked us in our home game and I am sorry there was a 26-point deficit, this game could have been more interesting."
Telent Oostende Head Coach Jean-Marc Jaumin:
"We played five minutes tonight and then stopped playing. No ball movement, no energy, not playing the game we were playing in the last games. We were not taking the shots but always giving one pass to many. They fought for 40 minutes to get the victory tonight. I am happy about Bouckichou's game tonight, giving us some extra energy."
