GAME REPORTCras Basket Taranto boosted their hopes of progressing from EuroLeague Women Group C with a 71-65 win over Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration. The result leaves Taranto in sixth place at 3-5, one game behind both BLMA and Good Angels Kosice. The Italians began to take control in the first quarter when Megan Mahoney's three-pointer sparked a 10-2 run that put them up 24-15. They continued to edge away throughout the second and third quarters and were up 61-43 on Simona Ballardini's breakaway with 1:29 to go in the third quarter. BLMA began to chip away but still found themselves down 67-52 when Angela Gianolla made a jump-shot with 4:56 to go. That was the cue for a big rally from the visitors, started by Ana Lelas' three-pointer, but they had left themselves with too much to do. Ballardini led Taranto with 16 points while Kia Vaughn had 14, Elodie Gosin 12 and Mahoney 11.
