Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration hammered Good Angels Kosice 83-65 in Group C of the EuroLeague Women on Wednesday evening. The French club, in improving to 4-2 on the season, led 21-17 at the end of the first quarter and then lowered the boom in the second when they outscored the Slovakians, 27-13 for a 48-30 lead. They cruised to victory in the second half. Croatia international Ana Lela's 26 points were a game high for BLMA. Shooting guard Gaelle Skrela also had a big game for the winners with 19 points while forward Stephany Skrba weighed in with 15 and eight rebounds. Leading 23-19, BLMA got a three-ball from Skrela and a jumper from Skrba to go in front by nine. The visitors were still within touch at 33-25 when Edwige Lawson scored five straight points to start an 11-0 run that Kosice never recovered from. Good Angels were led by Lucia Kupcikova's 16 points. They lost for the second time in a row and are now 3-3. |
