Rivas Ecopolis won for the fourth game in a row in the EuroLeague Women by blowing out Wisla Can-Pack Krakow 65-50 in Poland. Essence Carson had 16 points and Asjha Jones poured in 14 while also grabbing 11 rebounds for Rivas, who lost their first two games in Group C but have looked unbeatable since. Both sides are now 4-2. The crucial run came late in the third quarter after a Nicole Powell three-ball for Wisla cut the Rivas lead to 42-40. Jelena Dubljevic and Carson hit jumpers to close the frame for Rivas, and at the start of the fourth quarter, Dubljevic split a pair of free-throws before teammate Elisa Aguilar buried a jumper. Dubljevic, who only signed for Rivas recently, added another jumper to take the lead to 51-40. Wisla twice pulled to within five points in the fourth quarter but got no closer. Powell had 20 points and seven rebounds in defeat. |
