| 09.11.2011 EUROLEAGUE WOMEN Sparta&K Moscow Region Vidnoje clinched a 67-55 win at Good Angels Kosice on Wednesday night. Seimone Augustus poured in 19 points for the Russian team. The outcome has left both sides with 3-2 records in Group C. Sparta&K went in front to stay when Slovenian youngster Nika Baric pulled up for a jump shot to make it 15-14 for the visitors. Augustus then drew a foul from Erin Lawless and made two free-throws before making a jumper to stretch the lead to 19-14. By half-time, the advantage was 38-30 and Candice Dupree, facing her former team, was the first to score at the start of the second half to make it a 10-point game. Marina Kuzina's jumper extended the lead to 56-42 by the end of the third quarter and Sparta&K coasted home in the fourth. Dupree had 12 points and Becky Hammon 11 for Sparta&K. Danielle McCray led the Slovaks with a game-high 20 points. |
