Nadezhda pulled away down the stretch to wrap up their EuroLeague Women Round 1 campaign with a 71-58 win over CCC Polkowice.
The visitors had made a lightning fast start, leading 23-5 at the end of the first quarter following a pair of Oxana Zakalyuzhnaya free throws, but saw the hosts keep chipping away to make it a single possession game, 52-49, on Iva Perovanovic's jump-shot with 8:47 left in the game.
Nadezhda heeded the warning, and Zakalyuzhnaya led them clear once more with back-to-back baskets giving them breathing space before Katie Douglas lay-up made it 58-49 with 6:17 to go.
Elena Danilochkina's lay-up opened up a 14-point gap, 68-54, with 2:16 left to end the hosts' hopes of a late fightback.
Douglas finished with 19 points for Nadezhda, while Zakalyuzhnaya had 16 and Anastasiya Verameyenka came up with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Evanthia Maltsi and Megan Frazee came up with 13 points each for Polkowice.Nadezhda finish third in Group B, while Polkowice settle for fifth.
