Fenerbahce remained the only unbeaten side in the EuroLeague Women on Wednesday with an 86-79 victory at CCC Polkowice.

Coach George Dikeoulakos, who led Lotos Gdynia to last season's Polish Cup before taking the reins of Fener this summer, enjoyed a triumphant return to the country as the Turkish outfit won, 86-79.

Polkowice were always going to be dangerous opponents for Fener, especially with Evina Maltsi beginning to find her rhythm and leading the team to their third win last week at Perfumerias Avenida.

Sharnee Zoll led a balanced attack for the hosts in the first quarter with six points - including a three-ball at the end of the frame to give her team a 21-16 lead.

The advantage grew to seven as Megan Frazee buried two free-throws at the beginning of the next period.

Polkowice led 33-29 after Maltsi pulled up on a fast-break and drilled the first of her three shots from long range.

Fener carried the momentum to half-time, though, when a Nevriye Yilmaz three-point play cut the hosts' advantage to 43-42.

Yilmaz had nine points at half-time with Fener being led by Angel McCoughtry's 12.

Agnieszka Majewska had scored 11 for Polkowice by the break.

Fener's class finally told in the third quarter when they outscored the Polish team, 26-18.

Ivana Matovic's jumper midway through the frame for the Turkish team snapped a 52-52 tie and McCoughtry followed with two free-throws.

Zane Tamane capped the 6-0 spurt with a basket to make it 58-52 and Fener had the lead for good.

Polkowice did pull to within four points in the fourth quarter but got no closer.

Fener missed all six of their shots from long range and made just 10 of 17 free-throws, yet won after burying 38 of 59 shots from inside the arc.

They also out-rebounded Polkowice, 39-22.

McCoughtry and Matovic each had 20 points and both Penny Taylor and Yilmaz scored 17.

McCoughtry's nine rebounds were a game-high.

Polkowice's Majewska led all scorers with 22 points.

The home team dropped to 3-5 in Group B.
