|Candace Parker led the pack as four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures|
UMMC Ekaterinburg enjoyed an 85-45 rout of Uni Seat Gyor to conclude Round 1 of their Euroleague Women campaign in convincing fashion.
Candace Parker scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, while Sandrine Gruda added 16 points, Deanna Nolan 14 and Yelena Leuchanka 12 in a merciless display from the Russians.
After an even start, Ekaterinburg began to make their class show late in the first quarter, eventually piling up a 26-13 on Parker's lay-up to end the period.
Gyor kept pace with the visitors until half-time, but Ekaterinburg, third in the group, then stepped things up with stifling defence holding Gyor to just 12 points in the second half while they poured in 39 points themselves.
They shot a blistering 37-of-63 (58.7%) from the field, despite a disappointing 2-of-15 (13.3%) from three-point range.
Rita Rasheed was the only Gyor players to get into double figures in scoring with 11 points.

"Today felt that this game wasn't high stakes. The young team of Győr played very well in the first half. The second half felt like a greater international expirience. I wish good luck for the young Hungarian team for the future.
