Prague Back In 4th After Win Over Györ

4. DeLisha Milton-Jones (ZVVZ USK Prague)
DeLisha Milton-Jones had 14 points and seven rebounds for ZVVZ USK Prague

ZVVZ USK Prague moved back into fourth place in Group A of the EuroLeague Women with a 74-63 triumph over Uni Seat Györ on Wednesday.

Delisha Milton-Jones had 14 points and Katerina Elhotova 12 for the Czechs, who improved to 7-6.

Prague leapfrogged Bourges (6-7), 81-74 losers at Galatasaray earlier in the evening.

Lindsay Whalen and Ilona Burgrova each had 10 points for Prague, who wrap up their Round 1 campaign next week at Lotos Gdynia.

The decisive quarter of the game turned out to be the second.

The teams were knotted at 22-22 early in the frame when Burgrova and Frida Eldebrink hit jumpers for the hosts.

Quanitra Hollingsworth reduced the arrears to two points with a jumper for the Hungarian team, but Eva Viteckova and Burgrova replied with baskets for Prague and they ended up outscoring the visitors 27-16 in the quarter for a 47-36 lead.

Three times the Czech team's lead reached 15 points in the third quarter and when Viteckova nailed a jumper with 7:10 to go in the contest, Prague had a 66-50 advantage.

Lubor Blazek's side stayed in front by double-digits the remainder of the contest.

The Hungarians did a good job at the line, making 16 of 17, while Prague were 17 of 25.

The hosts were three of four from behind the arc, with Elhotova two of three and Viteckova one of one.

Uni Seat finished one of eight from long range.

Hollingsworth had 19 points in defeat.

COACH QUOTES

Quotes ZVVZ USK Prague vs. Uni Seat Gyor

Uni Seat Györ Coach Ákos Füzy
"For us, it was very important that we fought, because in our last match against Galatasaray we were not mentally strong. It's important that we broke Prague's rhythm even though it was not such a nice game to watch. It was a hard fight, but I'm proud of us because we played as a team and some of our players did a really good job. I'm satisfied with my team's performance. However, it seems that Prague is still too strong for us and I congratulate them on winning."

ZVVZ USK Prague Head Coach Lubor Blažek
"Györ was playing more aggressive basketball than we did, mainly on defence. They were able to stop our fast breaks and they almost didn't let us score from the three-point line. They were well organised and they knew what they wanted to play. I appreciate the way they played. We were a little more passive - it´s maybe because after our arrival from Ekaterinburg we practiced harder and maybe we were a bit tired."

Uni Seat Györ player Edita Šujanová
"ZVVZ USK is a good competitor, so we are satisfied with the game and how we played. We felt that we had chance to win, but Delisha Milton and Lindsay Whalen are back in the team, so it was much harder like that."

ZVVZ USK Prague player Michaela Zrůstová
"We played well in the beginning and during the second quarter we made a nice score gap. But it´s a shame, that always when we gained score advantage we started to lose it and they always started to catch up. But of course I´m glad we won."
