|Katerina Elhotova was the driving force behind ZVVZ USK Prague's narrow home win over Bourges|
ZVVZ USK Prague clinched another narrow win on Wednesday with Eva Viteckova hitting a pair of go-ahead free-throws just 25 seconds from the end against Bourges.
The Czech club prevailed 73-69 in the EuroLeague Women Group A clash after getting 15 points from Katerina Elhotova and 14 from Delisha Milton-Jones.
Viteckova had 10, but the two most important came with the game literally on the line.
Endene Miyem's lay-up with 48 seconds to go had tied the game at 69-69 but the French international fouled Viteckova and the veteran sharpshooter sank both attempts from the stripe.
Milton-Jones then came up with a big defensive play, stealing the ball from Catherine Joens with 11 seconds to go.
Bourges point guard Celine Dumerc, making her return from injury, fouled Ticha Penicheiro and the Portuguese playmaker made both free-throws to ice the victory - Prague's fifth of the EuroLeague Women campaign.
Prague's previous two triumphs over Uni Seat Györ and Lotos Gdynia were by four and five points, respectively.
For Bourges, their run of close games continued.
Two weeks ago, they fell in a heart-breaker at home to Galatasaray, 66-65, and last week won at VICI Aistes, 69-67.
Their setback on Wednesday has left the French giants at 3-5.
Bourges lost despite out-rebounding Prague, 37-25.
Lubor Blazek's Czech team made 17 of their 20 free-throws, the four more significant in the last 25 seconds by Viteckova and Penicheiro.
Joens led Bourges with 16 points.
The French team turned the ball over 20 times.
