It was a long time coming but VICI Aistes at last won a game in this season's EuroLeague Women and did so in convincing fashion against Uni Seat Györ.
Playing at home in Kaunas after losing four straight to start their Group A campaign, the Lithuanian outfit scored 18 of the first 22 points in the contest and rolled to a 71-51 victory.
Aija Putnina poured in eight of her career-high 10 points in the first 6:16 of the game as Mantas Sernius' team took a 10-2 lead.
With 6:06 to go in the second quarter, the Latvia international Putnina capped an 8-0 run for a 28-10 lead and there was no way back for the visitors from Hungary.
Akos Fuzy's team trailed 38-17 with 21 seconds to go in the half and found themselves down 50-20 with 6:36 to go in the third quarter.
VICI Aistes cruised the rest of the way.
Vita Kuktiene finished as their leading scorer with 12 points.
While VICI Aistes connected on nine of 25 shots from long range, Györ were just one of 10.
