GAME REPORT

Ros Deliver Early Knockout Against Bourges

Ros Casares bounced back from last week's home defeat to Prague with a 77-50 demolition of Bourges Basket in France.

Natalia Hejkova's side raced into a 21-4 lead less than nine minutes into the game and never looked back.

Sancho Lyttle had six of her 16 points in that early spurt.

Ros put the result beyond doubt in the second quarter when they stretched their advantage to 44-20.

Eshaya Murphy had 12 points for the Spanish team at the break.

The rest of the contest was an exercise in damage limitation for Bourges, who were out-rebounded 40-25.

Ros Casares improved to 4-1 in Group A and Bourges, who played without veteran playmaker Celine Dumerc, slumped to 2-3.

COACH QUOTES

Quotes Bourges vs. Ros Casares

Ros Casares Head Coach Natalia Hejkova
"It was the game that we wanted after our defeat last weak. It was important to incorporate the new players and we played very good defense, blocking Bourges and opening up the game on offense. I'm very happy."

Bourges Head Coach Valerie Garnier
"Frustration summarises well our feelings. We were not present in any sector of the game. But it's difficult after all our injuries, we suffered a lot against a very good team like Ros Casares. This team can almost play with Jackson at the 3. Today it was hard, but tomorrow we should do better."

Ros Casares player Laia Palau
"I'm happy, we played the game as we had to do. We came here to play this game as a final after our last game was not so good. We know that it's always difficult at Bourges, but we have a very good team and everyone plays well."

Bourges player Endene Myem
"I feel a lot of frustration, we started in a bad way the game. And it's a pain to miss a big challenge proposed by Valencia and its very talented players. We were not at 100%, even if it was better in the second half, we should have done better with better attitude during the game."
