Turkey recovered first from the Quarter-Finals loss with a 74-71 victory over Latvia in the 5-8 Classification Round.
Tomorrow Turkey will get a chance to finish in the fifth spot in a game against Germany.
Latvia will take on Montenegro in the game that will decide the seventh place.
Huseyin Koksal finished with 25 points and eight boards, Furkan Aldemir added another double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds, Sertac Sanli and Cenk Sekeroglu had 11 points each.
Arturs Bricis was the top scorer of Latvia with 15 points while six players scored between seven to nine points.
Latvia used a second quarter run to hold a double-digit at the half time break, leaving Turkey behind by 13 points, 26-39.
A balanced third quarter put Turkey behind at the fourth quarter dawn, but Aldemir and Sanli dominated the paint while Koksal burned the net from the arc to create a 19-1 run.
Turkey continued to a 67-62 lead inside the last minutes, yet a couple of crazy three pointers by Latvia put them in a spot to almost force overtime. Almost wasn't enough.
