France remained unbeaten after a 75-64 victory over Slovenia in Group E action at the U20 European Championship in Bilbao, Spain.
With this win, France take a 3-0 record and stamp their ticket to the Quarter-Finals from this group.
Slovenia fell to 0-3, tied in the last spot with Sweden, yet still have chances to continue their journey.
Evan Fournier topped France's score sheet with 19 points and Kevin Mendy added 14 points.
Edo Muric was the top scorer and rebounder for the losing side with 16 points and 9 rebounds, while Klemen Prepelic had 15 points.
Fournier and Mendy scored late in the first quarter when France ran 7-2 to take an 18-9 difference, yet Prepelic hit one from the arc and made sure Slovenia won't get too far behind.
The French duo - Fournier and Mendy - continued to collect points and Rudy Gobert dunked with force yet Slovenia found the way to stay in the game, and walked off to the break down 39-33.
Ferdinand Prenom with four points in a row set the first double-digit lead in favour of France, 46-36, but Marko Pajic and Muric stepped up and with eight minutes to play it was just a single point game, 56-55 in favour of France.
Gobert with another dunk but more importantly his presence in the paint didn't allow Slovenia to take the lead and led an 11-2 run that decided the game before it got too dangerous for the French side.
Tomorrow France will hook up with Montenegro while Slovenia will face Latvia.
