Turkey, who were led by 15 points from Ahmet Tuncer and 10 points from Talat Altunbey, will take on Italy for the bronze medal for the second time since 2009.
Spain came out like gangbusters right from the start with aggressive play offensively and defensively. Spain did not let Turkey get into rhythm and grabbed 11 offensive rebounds to six total rebounds for Turkey in building a 19-5 lead after one quarter.
The Spanish used an 8-0 run in the second quarter to push the gap to 32-9 and the advantage was 40-16 at halftime.
Altunbey did all he could off the bench to bring Turkey back into the game but the Turks lacked the weapons and Spain just pushed even further ahead, leading by as many as 27 in the third quarter. And the score was 55-29 after three periods.
Spain refused to let up their concentration in the fourth quarter despite the big lead and continued to build their lead to as many as 32 points.
